Radio One Moves 'The Block' in Charlotte to 102.5 FM and 105.3 RnB HD2 Channel as Sports Radio WFNZ Moves to 92.7 FM
This shakeup comes courtesy of Radio One, the owners of both stations. The Radio One Charlotte cluster has reassigned Hip Hop and R&B station 92.7 The Block (the former WQNC-FM) to 102.5 FM. The Block will now become known as "102.5 The Block." The station will also be heard on the HD2 Channel of 105.3 RnB (WOSF-FM).
Meanwhile 92.7 will now be occupied by Sports Radio WFNZ, which will give the station a better and stronger signal on the FM dial along with 610 AM. The station is also the radio home and flagship station of the Charlotte Hornets radio network.
