J. Anthony Brown Has Left The Steve Harvey Morning Show Retired from Radio and Nobody Knew Before He Did It

“Effective today, I will be leaving The Steve Harvey Morning Show, for good.” Fans of The Steve Harvey Morning Show will have to take that statement from J. Anthony Brown as his official retirement announcement from the show and from radio. But it kind of sounds like if necessary Brown will pop back on the show. So we will take it as J Anthony is scaling back a lot. He had cut back the number of times he appeared on the show due to various health issues to one or two days a week over the last two years.

It was almost five years to the date in April 2017 when J. Anthony Brown joined The Steve Harvey Morning Show after his long association with The Tom Joyner Morning Show. His run on the TJMS was for more than 20 years. Brown became a household name in the Black community following his numerous appearances on HBO Def Comedy Jam in the 90's. We posted one of classic stand-up routines below.

J. Anthony Brown talks about leaving The Tom Joyner Morning Show in 2017.
The restricted Video Blog link. Chubb Rock mentioned this in the interview below. It really is hilarious.

He said he only wanted a weekend show and they wouldn't give to him. Instead they replaced him with five comedians.

  1. There will come a day when we all have to retire and move on. I wish him the best and stay healthy.
