BIG 98.1 following its rebranding and reimaging from 98.1 WOGL a couple of months ago, the station names their weekday lineup of on-air personalities featuring Trey Morgan.
Audacy today revealed the full weekday lineup for newly launched BIG 98.1 (WOGL-FM) in Philadelphia, effective July 1. Radio and television personality Trey Morgan will join the station as afternoon drive host and be heard from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET.
The station’s on-air lineup will also feature Sybil Summers in its midday time slot from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET and Renee Taylor from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. ET. “The Coop Show” featuring Sean “Coop” Tabler will continue to air in morning drive.
“We’re pleased to introduce BIG 98.1’s inaugural full weekday lineup to our fans and round out the programming slate for this new local favorite,” said David Yadgaroff, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Philadelphia. “Trey’s big-market experience will anchor our listeners’ afternoons, while the addition of Sybil and Renee’s shows will complement our live and local programming.”
BIG 98.1 freshen up from 98.1 WOGL in April
“I’m thrilled to join BIG 98.1 and the Audacy Philadelphia team,” said Morgan. “Merging my passion for all genres of music with my experience in CHR, alternative, rock, rhythm, hot AC and even country, BIG 98.1 is the next natural step. I can’t thank David Yadgaroff and Tim Herbster enough for this incredible opportunity to connect and engage with listeners in an exciting and dynamic market like Philly.”
Morgan is a major market radio and television personality with experience in five of America’s ten biggest markets: New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, and Washington DC. Morgan found his calling in Florida, where he started interning at 95.1 The Beat. While working in Florida, he gained experience as both a producer and programmer before emerging as on-air talent. Over the next few years, Morgan worked at several highly respected radio stations around the country, including Kiss 108 in Boston, DC101 in Washington D.C., 98.9 Kiss-FM in Louisville, and KC101 in Connecticut. Those experiences helped him sharpen his skills and hone his craft before moving to New York City. After many years at Z100 as assistant music director and on-air talent, Morgan moved to Los Angeles, serving as the assistant program director, music director, and daytime host of ALT 98-7. He later returned to New York as the afternoon drive host for Fresh 102.7 (now Audacy’s New 102.7 FM). Following that, Morgan took on mornings as the host of 99.5 The Wolf in Dallas, where he helped elevate the “Wake Up with The Wolf” show’s ratings from No. 11 to No. 4 in the market while also contributing to the station’s “Major Market Station of the Year” Marconi Award.
