Former Host on The Morning Hustle and Radio Vet “Angie Ange” Takes Her Talents to Howard University's WHUT-TV
Veteran media personality Angela “Angie Ange” Hailstorks is letting her talents shine back at her alma mater. Angie Ange has been tapped as the Director of Content at WHUT – Howard University Television effective Monday, July 18th.
Angie Ange will be responsible for developing and creating new, original, local multi-platform content. In this role, she will work with local creatives and producers to open up new opportunities for content distribution and creation. Additionally, Angie Ange will look at ways to share the engaging content already found on WHUT and PBS to new audiences through a multi-platform approach.
As an award-winning broadcaster, Angie Ange is a much sought-after talent in front of and behind the screen. Her experience as a syndicated media personality has allowed her to curate dynamic and engaging content to reach new audiences of all ages. “We are excited to welcome Angie Ange back home to Howard University and to allow her the space to use her creativity and expertise as a content creator to help foster a new look and feel on WHUT” said General Manager Sean Plater.
Angie Ange is no stranger to the Howard University community. She’s a graduate of the Cathy Hughes School of Communication and former intern at 96.3 WHUR Radio.
“I am so excited to return to the campus of HU where my career was shaped and formed. I look forward to helping to grow WHUT to new heights and sharing my love of all things arts, culture, lifestyle and so much more across the DMV,” said Angie Ange.
