Detroit Black Talk Station 910 AM Superstation Abruptly Changes Format for ESPN Radio Sports Programming


Owner Kevin Adell and station manager Kevin Cole informed the staff by email that their services were no longer needed at 910 AM Superstation WFDF-AM Detroit. The station reportedly is airing ESPN Radio over the airwaves. However taking a listen online today the station was airing talk programming that was from a few months ago. (The discussion was about the Michigan State University m-ass sh-ooting incident from February 2023.)

The email the staffers received stated they were no longer allowed on the premises of the station and that the security guard had been informed to deny entry. (see below)

The station was the Detroit affiliate for the Rev. Al Sharpton show as well.




Detroit Free Press- WFDF-AM, better known in Detroit as 910 AM Superstation, has abruptly switched its format from local talk radio to sports and shown the door to its former hosts.

The station’s owner, Kevin Adell, let the hosts of its usual programming know that their services no longer would be needed via email on Friday. Adell’s spokesman, Mort Meisner, confirmed to the Free Press that the station has moved permanently to an all-sports format, adding that there will be at least “one local hire.”

The station was airing syndicated sports content as of Monday morning.
