Industry sites are reporting: Almost 20 employees were relieved of their duties at Radio One Atlanta including the end of the A-Team Morning Show on Hot 107.9 (WHTA). Co-host Rashan Ali will move to middays, replacing Maria More, and Emperor Searcy is headed back to afternoon drive, his previous shift, to replace E4Real. Morning show personalities Griff and Akini have exited, as well as late-night host Pezo in the Crib.
While it has not been confirmed, reports have surfaced that “The Rickey Smiley Show” will replace “The A-Team” in morning drive. The cuts also include Praise 97.5 (WPZE) personality Sonia Hamm and Renee Miller of Smooth Jazz 107.5 WJZZ.
