Pittsburgh's Last Urban Station 106.7 WAMO, Best Ratings Ever
The radio ratings are out in Pittsburgh and WAMO has gotten it's highest audience share since moving to 106.7 FM frequency 13 years ago. The station sits at number 6 in the city.
WAMO AM and FM and gospel station WPGR are slated to close down within the next month, as all have been sold and will leave Pittsburgh without an urban station. Those ratings are too good for another radio owner not to come in and revive the urban/hip hop format targeted to African Americans in Pittsburgh.
