Stephen A. Smith Returns to Radio
Former ESPN host and NBA contributor Stephen A. Smith is slated to return to the radio airwaves doing what he does best, talking sports. Smith will serve as special guest host from 10:00 AM to Noon to launch a new FM sports station in Philadelphia "97.5 The Fanatic."
It's been awhile since we've heard or seen Stephen A. Smith on the air. His contract with ESPN and 1050 ESPN Radio in New York was not renewed earlier this year. Smith has been an occasional fill in host on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
The 97.5 FM station was virtually dead last in ratings with the "Hot AC" music format. The frequency was Smooth Jazz station WJJZ a year ago.
