In Wake of Tom Joyner's Retirement, The Chubb Rock Show Heads to Mornings Nationwide
The Chubb Rock Show with SiMan Baby will be made available 6am-10am ET Monday-Friday beginning January 6, 2020 through Superadio Networks. The Urban AC targeted show will broadcast live in the morning and will also continue to be offered in other dayparts.
Superadio President Eric Faison said, “Stations have told us that with Tom Joyner exiting, there is a need for more options than what’s currently available in mornings.
Chubb’s connection to HBCU’s and support from Greek organizations, make him uniquely qualified to earn Joyner’s listeners. We think that Chubb, SiMan Baby, Carol Blackmon and KeKe Rock work harder and smarter than anybody to please their listeners and affiliate partners. Even with all their collective experience, they’re still hungry and go above and beyond when it comes to showing up for affiliates. This show was built for mornings and they treat stations right!”
Chubb Rock added, “My whole career has been dedicated to positive entertainment while giving back to my fans and the community. My usual autograph was signed, ‘You might make a new friend’. Now it’s, ‘Wake up with Chubb and let’s have fun and spread the love!’ Different words, same sentiment.”
Chubb Rock and SiMan were the afternoon hosts on Atlanta's Majic 107.5/97.5. The duo decided to exit the Radio One station when Ryan Cameron was brought in to do afternoons and they were offered the night show time slot. Chubb Rock continues to host the Superadio Network weekend show 'Diggin' in da Crates."
