D.L. Hughley On the Mend From Collapse, Now Set to Self-Quarantine and Host from Home

Radio ONE Afternoon Host and Reach Media syndicated personality D.L. Hughley passed out on stage during his comedy show in Nashville Friday night. He was performing at Zanies Comedy Club and at around 11 PM is when his collapse occurred. He was taken to the hospital and unbeknown to himself, after a series of tests, he tested positive for the coronavirus.

The 57 year old comedian said, "I was what they call asymptomatic. I didn't have flu-like symptoms, I didn't have shortness of breath, I didn't have difficulty breathing, I didn't have a cough, I didn't have a low-grade fever. I still don't have a fever. I didn't have a loss of smell or taste, apparently I just lost consciousness."

"Thank you to everyone for your concern, prayers and well wishes.  Looking forward to pushing through and coming out stronger on the other side of things.  Be safe, wear your PPE and practice social distancing..."

He is out of the hospital but stated he will now have to self-quarantine in Nashville for 14 days. But the hotel in which he was staying was not in a position to accommodate him. So he flew home.

D. L. will now host his show for the next two weeks away from the Reach Media studios. The show airs in the afternoons on many of Radio One's R&B/Urban Adult Contemporary stations.
