Rare Air Check of Frankie Crocker at KUTE 102 FM Los Angeles

This rare air check from Frankie Crocker was during his time in Los Angeles at KUTE 102 (101.9 FM). At the time Frankie was being investigated for payola at 107.5 WBLS in New York. He was removed from the airwaves in the Big Apple by Inner City Broadcasting during the investigation. However the company had recently purchased KUTE and relocated Frankie to L.A. to head up the new station. By the way he was not found guilty of payola and returned to NYC within a year.

During one of his breaks, Crocker mistakenly says "107" and jokingly refers to himself as not knowing he was now on the left coast doing radio.
