Outside of a few media stories, Madison's hunger strike received little to no national coverage or attention on the three major broadcast networks of ABC, NBC, and CBS or on FOX News, CNN, and MSNBC. At 72 years old we hope Madison did not suffer any adverse effects from not eating solid food.
