Angie Ange Honored With Lifetime Achievement Award At WKYS’ Inaugural Women’s Empowerment Brunch

We [93.9 WKYS] had an emotional presentation of a special lifetime achievement award for radio legend Angie Ange. (Angie talks about her radio journey at WKYS in the video above. Yes, it was emotional! Angie, former host on The Morning Hustle and D.C. native, rose from nights, afternoons and eventually morning host at WKYS. She is currently the Director of Content at her alma mater's owned PBS station, Channel 32 WHUT-TV – Howard University Television.)
We had an amazing celebration with the amazing Women of The DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia) at our Women’s Excellence Empowerment Brunch!
We had an open and honest conversation about being a woman in the entertainment industry, cancel culture and the journeys of our panelist; Alex Vaughn, Candiace Dillard-Bassett, Keyonna Jones and Yetunde Sapp hosted by Dominique Da Diva and Chey Parker. Plus the audience enjoyed performances by GoGo Morrow and Laya.
