JJ Redick Responds to "Average Shooter" Diss, Drake Follows Raptors Draft Pick Gradey Dick, Rob Parker and Others Inducted in NABJ Hall of Fame, Power 99 DJ's Looks to Unionize

Former NBA guard JJ Redick was called an "average shooter" by fellow ESPN host Andraya Carter during the network's coverage of the 2023 NBA Draft. This exchange was apparently an inside joke. However it came off as very awkward and quite cringey. The show also featured lead host Malika Andrews who ask Redick to comment about his former Philadelphia 76ers teammate Ben Simmons.

Meanwhile people are having fun with Fat Joe's commentary on Toronto Raptors draft pick and former Kansas player Gradey Dick, who got a follow by Drake.

Rob Parker of FOX Sports and MLBbro.com honored by NABJ. Parker cohosts 'The Odd Couple" with Chris Broussard. Here's their latest.

Power 99 Looks to Unionize

The on-air staff at Power 99 WUSL-FM in Philadelphia have taken steps to become a unionize workplace. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports on their efforts. A group of 10 employees, which would also include producers at WUSL-filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board on June 20. They are seeking representation by the local SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) union. Power 99, an iHeart Media station features a local morning show (Mikey Dredd, MuthaKnows, Roxy Romeo) DJ Cosmic Kev at night, and mixologist DJ Diamond Kuts. This action would not affect syndicated midday host Angela Yee and voice tracked afternoon host Tee-Roy of 93.3 The Beat in Jacksonville.
