Sports Talk Duo D-Lo & KC New Afternoon Drive Hosts on Audacy's Hip Hop Station 102.5 KSFM
“D-Lo & KC,” Damien “D-Lo” Barling and Kenny “KC” Caraway, who currently host 12-4pm on Audacy sports “1320 ESPN” KIFM-AM in Sacramento, will take over afternoon drive duties at sister station Hip Hop and R&B 102.5 KSFM-FM from 3-7pm.
Barling and Caraway launched their talk show on ESPN 1320 in August of 2020. Barling started his radio career in 2001 with an internship at 102.5 KSFM. His launched his sports talk show, “The Lo-Down” beginning in April of 2016. Caraway a standout basketball player in the area and a seasoned content creator who held roles across multiple mediums, including podcasting, sports radio host, podcast and radio producer as well as co-host for The Athletic’s Sacramento Kings podcast Throne Room Breakdown.
As sports hosts in a smaller market, Barling and Caraway are very knowledgeable in the NFL, NBA, and MLB along with the local sports scene. They've exhibited expertise not only in discussing the local NBA's Kings but also Hip Hop culture during their show. In addition they seamlessly engaged in conversations about the Warriors and 49ers benefiting from Sacramento's close proximity to the Bay Area. Their ability to go beyond sports during their show on ESPN 1320 makes them candidates that don't seem so much "out of the box" to host afternoons at 102.5 KSFM.
D-Lo & KC begins Aug. 14 on 102.5 KSFM.

Let’s get it!!! https://t.co/f5aivtOTGD
This move by KSFM seems to be unprecedented. It certainly is. However Hot 97's Rosenberg is the only other host who does double duty in sports and music radio. He hosts afternoons at 98.7 ESPN New York on the Michael Kay Show besides his co-hosting on Ebro in the Morning. However for former sports hosts in Houston and Philadelphia, Josh Inness, sports talk radio is no longer his forte. Earlier this year he signed on to host afternoons on rock station KSHE-FM in St. Louis.
I don’t want to do sports radio every day. I don’t like the vibe of it. It’s largely miserable. https://t.co/cdRdhXlw8U

A quick timeout to talk some sports.
A short clip on the sports knowledge of Kenny Caraway from two years ago. He gives his take on a potential Sacramento Kings trade with the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons. Of course that trade never materialized. The Kings eventually landed Domantas Sabonis for Tyrese Haliburton in a trade with the Indiana Pacers. No one really thought Sabonis was even a trade target for the Kings at the time. Caraway's take on Ben Simmons was spot on. He nailed it. We've been a fan ever since.
