Kayla Thomas Joins Z100 New York as Josh Martinez Exits the Station
Kayla Thomas is moving from late nights/overnights at 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles to nights at sister station “Z100” WHTZ New York. She will host weeknights from 6-10pm beginning Monday, July 27.
Thomas joined KIIS-FM in February 2022 and was also heard on multiple stations across the country. Before arriving in Los Angeles, she hosted middays at K92 in Roanoke, VA, then nights at 94.5 WPST in Trenton, NJ, and transitioned to the syndicated show “Pop Crush Nights.”
Thomas said she is excited to join Z100, calling the move a longtime career goal. She thanked Thea Mitchem and Mark Adams for the opportunity and said returning to the East Coast makes the transition especially meaningful. She added that she looks forward to connecting with listeners each night and becoming part of the station's legacy.
Meanwhile in the midst of massive cuts across the nation by iHeartMedia, she will be replacing Josh Martinez, the former night host at Z100. He joined Z100 in May 2021 after four years as APD/MD and later PD of Kiss 107.1 in Cincinnati.
