Kenny Smoov Exits as Cumulus Media's VP/Urban Formats and Midday Host on 92Q
Kenny Smoov has exited as midday host on 92Q (WQQK) in Nashville and Cumulus Media's Vice President of Urban Formats. He had been with the company for 21 years.
Cumulus has been in the midst of several staff reduction moves throughout the summer, however Smoov's exit coming in the September comes as a bit of a surprise. Smoov's previously worked in Alexandria and New Orleans LA, Greensboro NC and Myrtle Beach SC. In addition he programmed Nashville's CHR station i106.7.
Kenny Smoove conducted a Facebook Live session following his exit and a listener captured his final words on 92Q. (This is something that rarely happens in radio.)
