Abdur-Rahim Jackson, a dancer with the Alvin Ailey dance ensemble, had to perform twice for Israeli airport security officers before being allowed into the country. Jackson, 31, an eight-year veteran of Alvin Ailey was reportedly stopped by security over his Muslim name and was ordered to dance to prove he was not a terrorist. Despite his name, Jackson is not a Muslim and is engaged to a Jewish woman who also dances in the troupe, reports the Associated Press.
