Listeners Pledge to Clean Up the City and Win Tickets to the Budweiser “Made In America Festival”
Philadelphia, PA- Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Philadelphia and Mayor, Michael A. Nutter, announced today that they will team-up to “talk trash” to clean up Philadelphia. From August 6-26, each Clear Channel Media and Entertainment stations in Philadelphia will encourage listeners to pledge to clean up their neighborhoods and in return have a chance to win a pair of two day passes to the Budweiser “Made in America Festival.”
On August 6, Mayor Nutter and Clear Channel Philadelphia’s on-air personalities from Q102, Power 99, WDAS FM/AM, Radio 104.5 and Mix 106.1 will take over all the stations’ home pages to not only encourage listeners to pledge but also direct them to resources for cleaning up the city, recycling and becoming block captains. All listeners who pledge to clean up their neighborhoods will in return have a chance to win a pair of two day passes to the Budweiser “Made in America Festival.” on September 1-2, featuring Jay-Z, Pearl Jam, Drake, Jill Scott and more.
Mayor Nutter said, “I encourage all Philadelphia residents to take ownership of their neighborhoods and make this city a cleaner, greener and healthier place. I thank Clear Channel Philadelphia for their partnership and dedication to making Philadelphia a better place to live, work and play with the ‘Talk Trash’ campaign.”
“Mayor Nutter recently shared with us three areas he’s targeting: public safety, education and cleaning up the city,” said Dennis Lamme, President and Market Manager, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Philadelphia. “We will help the Mayor in each of these areas but because a cleaner city has a direct impact on safety and quality of life, so we decided to start off supporting this issue and hope to activate our listeners to help.”
