Jake Tapper Slams Obama for Radio DJ Interviews

"Pimp with the Limp" Interview? But None for White House Press Corp

ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper, in an interview with NPR's On The Media, was very critical of The White House's strategy during the recent presidential campaign. Tapper cited President Obama's radio interviews with Miami's DJ Laz "Pimp with the Limp" (aired on September 11th), MTV's broadcast with Sway and an appearance on his own network's The View.

Here's the [interview] at the 8:40 mark

Tapper was disappointed that he and other White House reporters did not have enough access to challenge the President during the campaign season.  He said it was one of the reasons for Obama's poor performance in the first debate with Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

The White House response according to Tapper was that the interviews were one of the best ways to get their message out to the voters.

How well did Obama perform according to exit polls?
Obama received 60% of the young voters
Obama received 71 % of the Hispanic voters
Obama received 93% of African American voters
Obama received 73% of Asians voters
Obama received only 11% more voters among all women than Romney
...and surprising enough More white women voted for Romney
Romney received 59% of all white voters to Obama's 39%
