Urban One Houston VP/GM Gary Spurgeon Exits Radio Cluster

Urban One Houston Vice President and General Manager Gary Spurgeon is exiting the cluster today August 25th as reported by All Access Music Group.

Spurgeon managed Urban AC station (KMJQ) Majic 102.1, Rhythmic (KBXX) 97.9 The Box and Top 40 (KROI) Radio NOW 92.1.

Although Magic 102.1 continues to be #1 in overall ratings, the Houston market has seen significant competition for the urban radio listeners over the last year from iHeartRadio's 93.7 The Beat which runs the syndicated The Breakfast Club in morning drive.
