Monica McNutt Seals the Deal with Her Knicks Love Letter Analysis on ESPN Radio New York


With the New York Knicks winning their first championship in 53 years, it was Monica McNutt that was behind the mic for every single game on the team's championship run. She is the Emmy Award-winning analyst for ESPN's NBA Today, Get Up, and First Take. She also reports post game on SNY, the local regional sports network that covers Knicks games. To say she is multi-talented is an understatement. 

 

McNutt is the only Black woman serving as a primary radio analyst for an NBA team. She’s been calling Knicks games on ESPN Radio New York since 2023, and her calm demeanor in the midst of bedlam is a marvel. Great chemistry with play-by-play man Tyler Murray. 


She, a former basketball star at Georgetown University, captured the moment perfectly. Also check out her analysis from a 2024 Knicks playoff game with radio former partner Pat O'Keefe. Despite her great analysis, she caught the wrath of Taylor Swift's “Swifties” during Game 4 of the series in a hot mic moment. Monica addressed it on The Breakfast Club.
