The NBA World Champions are the New York Knicks and We're Calling Out Journalists On Their Bias Celebrations
As Knicks fans celebrate the 2026 NBA Championship, it's a little amusing watching some radio and media personalities suddenly become part of the parade after spending so much time on the other side of the conversation. We get it—winning titles changes perspectives. But shouldn't sports journalists like Stephen A. Smith cover the sport with unbiases and full professionalism, even if the radio personalities don't like Michael Shawn. He of course is now hosting in Philly at 100.3 WRNB and must realize he's in Sixers territory regardless if he's from the Jersey part closer to New York. And what about Ashley Nicole Moss of CBS Sports Network (who gives the worst sports takes in the history of sports takes); her unbridled joy for the Knicks' championship is totally uncalled for as a sports journalist!
All in all it's just good fun. But if we're being honest, a little less bias and a little more consistency would look a lot more professional right Stephen A. Smith? Either way, the New York Knicks are champions, and that's something every NBA fan, except those rooting for the San Antonio Spurs (Celtics, Sixers, perhaps Hawks fans) can celebrate. From the OG Anunoby's Game 4 last second tip in at Madison Square Garden to the historic 45 points from Jalen Brunson in the Game 5 clincher. The Knicks did their thing.
But first here's a funny bit from New York City's 94.7 The Block's morning host, Radio Big Mack after the Knicks Game 3 loss to the Spurs.
