DeDe in the Morning Responds to The Viral Luenell Interview That Went Left

As things would have it the Urban (Messy) Blogs had a field day with the messiness, the back and forth if you will, between comedienne Luenell and the crew on the DeDe in the Morning at the end of last week. The crew includes JJ Williamson, J Kruz, and Tre-G. The home base for the show is K-104, which was recently sold to Radio One by Service Broadcasting along with Smooth R&B 105.7. Shake up with the formats are coming in Dallas, as Radio One has already sold off Majic 94.5 and still maintains 97.9 The Beat, which has a similar format as K-104.

DeDe took to social media to clear up some things about the interview. Luenell also defended the statement by agreeing with what was being said by DeDe. See Luenell's words from the comment section below.

“@dedeinthemorning is not lying. It went just like that. I just got triggered because I had already been in a bad mood about Nolan thing and as women we have to fight so hard for our props and respect. It was just a bad interview that day. (it wasn’t the time frame because I do many many interviews early in the morning, even though I have worked the night before) Like she said she’s interviewed me many times before we will probably cross paths again. If I do 250 interviews a year and I mess up one or two like I told her in my personal phone call to her… Charge it to my head and not my heart. It’s not my character and we all make mistakes so as she said, moving on.👍🏽”

But at the end of the day; we believe that this wouldn't have been an issue if this interview was never posted on the show's social media platforms. The interview garnered attention and that was the intent. The strange thing is that the Luenell interview will be played on the national syndicated version on Monday (July 13), which will undoubtedly be edited. Here's the full interview that was posted on YouTube.
