KJ Midday Says Goodbye to Her Listeners and Hints at Changes Coming to Smooth R&B 105.7

KJ Midday hosts the Weekend Quiet Storm Show at Smooth R&B 105.7 KRNB-FM in Dallas and alerted her listeners that she may be on the air at the station for the very last time. The Louisville, KY native has hosted shows on KRNB since 2010 as well as various stations in her home town.  

Recently Radio One announced the purchase of Smooth R&B 105.7 and K-104 from Service Broadcasting to add to their Dallas cluster which includes 97.9 The Beat. With this movement they divested themselves of Adult R&B station Majic 94.5, which transitioned to Fuzion Radio, a Spanish-language contemporary Christian station. That station was sold to Encouragement Media Group. 

Changes they have already happened include The Rickey Smiley Morning Show moving over to the Hip Hop formatted station 97.9 The Beat from Majic 94.5. As far as mornings go, don't expect any changes there as The Steve Harvey Morning Show airs on Smooth R&B 105.7 and DeDe in the Morning airs on K-104. However expect a format change or tweaking on one of the three stations in Dallas under Radio One ownership very soon.
