Luenell's Radio Interview with DeDe in the Morning Goes REALLY BAD as She Tells Them Her Family in the Area Can Be There in Five Minutes

Take a look at the following exchange between comedienne Luenell and the crew of the DeDe in the Morning Show. The show is syndicated and is produced at K104 in Dallas, however Luenell most likely caught a segment that was just aired locally. Which makes it quite glaring.

Given the fact that show member JJ is a stand up comedian, someone in the room prior to opening the mic, should have mentioned that Luenell was one of the events people should be on lookout for in the Dallas Metroplex area. This is what a good producer should do. As Luenell explained, she was on her way to the station to do an interview. They dropped the ball on this one. Being contentious with a guest is not what you want to do either. (Listeners don't want to hear that.) Apologize. Move On. Don't get aggressive or become defensive. Wow.

Here are some of the wide ranging comments from the post (a couple of radio folks, a comedian, a business owner, and some fans of the show):

This was a hard watch… Luenell was in her feelings. Maybe she’s just not a morning person. 😬

She was wack for coming on that show and disrespecting the host. You on live, promote the show and move on.

She is absolutely CORRECT! Most Radio Stations always let the listeners know about the act that is currently IN TOWN and on their way to the STATION! She is right! Some of us lesser known comedians/actors/performers know how these morning radio stations work. I have always heard radio stations tell us who was in town and that they are in transit to the station.

I understand 100% her stance @luenell She had the right to feel how she felt and it was appropriate. The funny thing is everyone says they like when people are direct with them but want that directness on their terms. Sounded like the crew was given a bunch of excuses before the apology came but that seemed a bit disingenuous to me. I think it was a learning session for everyone, let's hope it was recorded that way!

As a loyal listener… whew!! 😩😂 This was HARD to listen to! Huge respect to the entire K104 team for holding it down and staying so professional. 👏🏾 @dedemakesmelaugh …Baby… I know you know how to cuss GOODT! 🤣 The FCC owes you a thank-you card because that self-control deserves an award! 😂 Meanwhile, I was in my car cussing on your behalf… and that’s between me and the Lord! 😭🤣 You stayed professional… because I definitely wasn’t listening professionally! 😂🙌🏾 @k104fm

This was a hard listen. Luenell is typically rude. However, in this case, she was correct. But the way she dragged it On And On (shout out to Erykah Badu) was too much. It made the recovery difficult and uncomfortable. Just say: I accept your apology, and this is a learning moment. Please don't ever do that to a guest. It's not a good feeling. Boom, that's it.

It does seem that later on the interview did get better with J Kruz on Instagram.
